Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the marketplace:

• Account details — your name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash, never in plain text). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
• Provider profile — if you offer services, the description, photos, categories, location, and settlement bank details you add to your profile.
• Location — the area you set, used to match buyers with nearby providers.
• Messages and bookings — the chat, booking, and job details you exchange through the platform.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies only. When you sign in we set two cookies — a short-lived access_token and a longer-lived refresh_token — that keep you securely logged in as you move between pages. They are essential to the service and cannot be switched off without breaking sign-in, so they do not require your consent under the NDPA.

We do not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies. Your theme (light/dark) preference is stored locally in your browser, not in a cookie, and is never sent to us.

How we use your information

We use your information to create and secure your account, match buyers with nearby providers, enable chat and bookings, process payments through our payment provider (Paystack), and keep the platform safe. We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing

We share information only with the service providers who help us operate — for example Paystack to process payments, and Cloudinary to host images you upload. Providers and buyers see the profile, message, and booking details they need to complete a job. We may disclose information where the law requires it.

Your rights

Under the NDPA you can request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent where we rely on it. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
